Reviewing the medical risks involved in fasting during different stages of pregnancy, the halachic values assigned to maternal and fetal pain and health, the halachic values assigned to each fast, and the definition of pregnancy, in order to arrive at our conclusions as to whether a pregnant woman should attempt to observe fast days.
